He then waved his father's head around in a YouTube video manifesto in which he railed against the United States government, among other grievances. Justin Mohn, 33, has been charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possessing an instrument of crime with intent after police found the dismembered body of his 68-year-old father, Michael Mohn. Officers responded to a 911 call placed by the victim's wife around 7 p.m. from the couple's Middletown Township, Bucks County home, according to 6 ABC News , after she arrived home to find her husband beheaded and covered in blood. A Brazilian man tragically died after he cooked and ate a remarkably venomous pufferfish given to him as a gift. 46-year-old Magno Sergio Gomes, of Aracruz, Espirito Santa, died 35 days after consuming the fish, which contained enough venom to kill 30 human adults. His sister, Myrian Lopes, spoke to newswire service Newsflash (via The Mirror and The New York Post ). It’s unknown where the fish came from, but Brazil is home to more than 20 species of pufferfish. A dozen of them reside in Espirito Santa alone. Gomes noted that her brother had never cleaned pufferfish before. Residents of a  University of Georgia dorm have been plagued with a bat infestation since returning to campus two weeks ago, and getting rid of the small flying mammals has been easier said than done.  The bats were first discovered at the Ogelthorpe House dorm on Jan. 14, which houses up to 500 students and costs over $3,000 per semester to live in. The bats are believed to have entered the dorm through a mechanical space on the roof of the building where the boilers are housed, and then infiltrating the stairwells. But after they were initially cleared, an additional 25–30 bats were recently discovered in the rafters of the rooftop space, which is not accessible to students. Wildlife filmmaker Carlos Guana and biology doctoral student Phillip Sternes teamed up to take aerial video and images off the coast of Carpinteria, CA when they noticed something unusual. When you think of the big city , you might think of loud noises coming from honking cars and construction sites. While these sounds can be detrimental to your hearing, especially if experienced up close, it turns out being out in the middle of nowhere might be even worse for your ears.  A new study published in The Lancet journal found that hearing loss affects nearly 38 million Americans and is more common in rural areas than urban ones. In addition, the researchers found that hearing loss was more prevalent in men than in women.  The scientists' most reasonable hypothesis for the phenomenon likely involves how loud noises are and how often people hear them. For example, a person in a city who rides the subway can go at least six hours before being at risk for hearing loss. Finance Buzz conducted a study to determine how much consumers overpay through food delivery services, and their findings are astonishing. To determine their results, researchers analyzed the cost of 10 food orders from 11 different restaurants on Uber Eats, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Postmates. The chains examined were Cava, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle , Dunkin , Jason’s Deli, Jersey Mike’s, McDonald’s , Panda Express, Panera, Starbucks , and Tropical Cafe. They then analyzed how much in additional fees, like taxes, tips, and delivery charges, each restaurant and platform charged consumers. The study found that, of the 11 restaurants studied, Chick-fil-A customers see the most extreme delivery markups. The chain charges anywhere between 82 percent (Uber Eats) to 149 percent (GrubHub) more than in-store menu prices on delivery apps. The Hadaka Matsuri (Naked Festival) is allowing a group of 40 women from Inazawa, in Japan’s Aichi prefecture, to join the festivities with one significant stipulation. They won’t be allowed to strip down, instead remaining fully clothed. Despite its name, the festival isn’t actually attended by completely nude revelers. The men usually wear a fundoshi, or white loincloth, along with a tabi, a pair of long white socks. A pair of heroic Starbucks baristas who risked their lives to save the company’s hard-earned money have been fired more than a month after reportedly foiling an armed robbery. The Riverfront Times reported both the initial robbery attempt and news of the employees’ terminations . Authorities allege that just before 3 p.m. on December 17, Joshua Noeand and Marquise Porter-Doyle entered the Starbucks location at 212 South Grand Boulevard in St. Louis, MO. Ford announced a recall of nearly 1.9 million Explorer SUVs on Wednesday over reports of trim pieces flying off and causing hazards for other drivers on the road. The recall affects Explorer models through 2011 and 2019, following an investigation by U.S. regulators last January that stemmed from 164 consumer complaints . Although the recall is currently only for vehicles sold in the U.S., Canadian regulators had also inquired about the issue. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration posted documents on Wednesday detailing that the clips holding the trim pieces that cover the roof supports near the windshield can sometimes come loose, which can then dislodge and increase the risk of a crash.
