The Duffer Brothers are making sure fans don’t get too excited about seeing the final season of  Stranger Things just yet. While Netflix has announced the massive hit sci-fi series from the sibling creators would return in 2025, the brothers aren't co-signing any timetable. It has been nearly three years since Season 4 dropped on the streamer on July 1, 2022. In a conversation with Variety , Matt Duffer said the brothers were still pondering an exact release date with Netflix. They are hoping it will be this year but that would take “quite the push.” “A lot of it hasn’t been decided, in terms of exactly the release dates and cadence. The most popular TV shows at any given time are probably not remotely new. Nielsen and Luminate recently revealed the most popular streaming shows of 2024, and it turns out super-old TV shows are having a moment. While the biggest overall TV series of the year  was Bluey   with 55.62 billion viewing minutes, there were also a few under-the-radar TV series that were big hits this year that nobody is talking about.  According  to Variety , Nielsen viewing figures revealed that two very old TV shows racked up viewership in the billions. On Peacock, the 1974 show Little House on the Prairie  snagged 13.25 billion minutes. Meanwhile, the very old-school western series Gunsmoke  got 10.23 billion on Peacock and Paramount+. USA Today got an exclusive sneak peek at Delta’s newly designed interior cabins , revealing the airline’s much-anticipated upgrade ahead of its official debut. Calling the sweeping amendments “subtle but elevated and ergonomic,” the outlet noted that “the plane still feels very Delta.” New slip-resistant floor surfaces guide you through the cabin, which is designed with blue and white colors inspired by the airline’s route maps. A new lighting scheme features calmer hues like calming blues and warm amber to create a cozier ambiance, while the seats have been refashioned with memory foam cushions.  Seatbacks in the main cabin have also been reconfigured to feature a second, shallower pocket which is intended for smartphones and other devices and is conveniently located near charging ports. The new Superman film is still several months away. But between now and July 11, it's fair to assume there will be a lot of hype around this epic reboot. After the full teaser trailer exceeded expectations  back in December , new TV spots have started popping up, doling out a little bit of new footage each time. The first of these is a short 30-second teaser called "Icon." And though most of what's in this teaser was already glimpsed in the original, longer trailer, there is one new reveal that ties back to beloved Superman lore. I write about whiskey for a living, so that means that I have to taste a lot of it—in moderation, of course. Generally speaking, I don’t really gravitate towards bourbon. rye, or any other type of whiskey that's bottled at the minimum required 80 proof, 40 percent ABV. It’s just a bit too thin, watered down, and lacking in flavor for my palate. On the other end of the spectrum, you have barrel-proof or cask-strength whiskey. Those terms mean that the whiskey hasn't been diluted with water before bottling to cut it down to proof. Legally, however, it can fall within two degrees of the strength it came out of the barrel.  I don’t always want to drink this style of whiskey either, however, because ABVs have skyrocketed as brands lean into releasing extremely high-proof whiskeys. Past studies have found a link between parental divorce and their children developing mental health issues , but new research published in the Public Library of Science One journal found a concerning correlation between parents' separation and physical health.  Researchers from the University of Toronto, Tyndale University, and the University of Texas at Arlington found that older adults are at higher risk of having a stroke if they experienced their parents divorcing during their childhood. To reach this conclusion, they analyzed a sample of 13,205 adults aged 65 and above who have had strokes and focused on parental divorce as a possible factor. They found that participants who experienced parental divorce had 1.61 times better odds of having stroke when compared to those who didn't live through it. In total, those whose parents divorced had a one in nine chance of getting diagnosed with a stroke after 65 compared to one in 15 for children of non-divorced parents.  ...

Scientists have deciphered a Roman boundary stone inscribed with Greek text which was recently discovered in northern Israel, according to a study published in the journal Palestine Exploration Quarterly . Archaeologists Naama Yahalom-Mack, Nava Panitz-Cohen, and Robert Mullins from Azusa Pacific University uncovered the rare item , known as a Tetrarch boundary stone, at the former site of Abel Beth Maacah, a biblical city which held particular significance for Israelites and Canaanites. The stone was originally used to delineate agricultural borders between the villages under Roman Emperor Diocletian’s tax reform laws instituted during the Roman Tetrarchy’s brief reign of power. After the inscription was deciphered, researchers found the names of two previously unknown towns in the text — Tirthas and Golgol.
