An accused domestic terrorist and extreme animal rights activist has been apprehended in Wales after more than 20 years on the lam and 15 years on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List. Daniel Andreas San Diego, 46, was wanted in connection with planting two bombs that exploded an hour apart on the campus of a biotechnology company in Emeryville, CA on Aug. 28, 2003. Though no one was injured in the bombings, authorities said the explosions were intended to harm first responders. He's also accused of setting another bomb a month later at a nutritional products company in Pleasanton, CA. Both companies had been targeted due to their work with experimental drugs and chemicals on animals. CNN reports that the FBI had San Diego under surveillance in the months following the bombings. Jim Abrahams, the famed writer and director of such parody classics as Airplane! (1980) and The Naked Gun (1988) died on Tuesday at 80, his son Joseph confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter . Abrahams passed away at his home in Santa Monica, CA, of natural causes. Along with his lifelong friends, brothers Jerry and David Zucker, Abrahams made some of the funniest and most well-remembered comedies of the last 50 years. In addition to Airplane! , the trio created the hysterical but short-lived cult television series Police Squad , which starred Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin. A Texas woman has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison over a murder-for-hire targeting three different people, including an online rival. Ashley Grayson, 35, a self-described "best seller, eight-figure business coach, course creator, and philanthropist" from Dallas, made an apparent living teaching other aspiring influencers how to turn their skills into online courses. According to Fox 4 News , she once claimed to have made $1 million in just 40 minutes. However, in 2021, Grayson ran afoul of a woman from Mississippi who ran a similar online business. And although the two women never met in person, Grayson suspected the other woman of harassing her with fake online profiles to criticize her and her business. A Florida woman and TikTok influencer has been arrested after allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars worth of products from a Target store, Law & Crime reported. Though the scofflaw made it off the property, she was busted after showing off her haul on the social media platform. Marlena Valez, 22, has been charged with one count of petit theft in excess of $100 but less than $750, which is a misdemeanor charge stemming from an Oct. 30 incident at a Target location in Cape Coral in southwest Florida. Loss prevention officers noticed Valez while she was in the store, but nothing appeared suspicious until she went to check out. “Once at the self-checkout register, the female suspect did not scan the items’ barcodes, instead scanning a false barcode with cheaper prices,” Cape Coral’s police department explained in a statement. “Sixteen items of miscellaneous household goods and clothing were stolen. Gladiator II , the late-era sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 Best Picture winner , cleaned up at the North American box office this weekend and continued its reign overseas, where it rolled out last weekend. The film was no slouch despite coming in second behind Wicked (which grossed $115 in North America and another $50 million in international territories). It took $55.5 million in North America; and another $50.5 million internationally, per Variety . After just a week and a half of release, the film has already grossed $221 million. That’s nearly half of the total gross for Scott’s original Gladiator , which topped out at $465.5 million worldwide—about $620 million adjusted for inflation. Deadline reported that the film cost around $210 million to produce. However, other estimates put the price tag closer to $250 million, with an additional $100 million spent to market the picture.
