Dave Portnoy is not a fan of college football games getting delayed due to lightning, and the Barstool Sports boss' solution is twisted.
The 48-year-old and newly minted Fox Sports employee went on national television on Saturday and ranted about his disgust with lightning delays. The rant quickly went off the rails.
“I am sick of lightning delays in college football,” Portnoy shouted during his segment on Fox Sports' Big Noon Kickoff show. “I don’t remember it growing up. You have four or five games [every week] that have four-hour delays.”
He continued, "Everybody going in, sign a waiver. If you get struck by lightning, so be it. But when they do the delay, the fans have to leave the stadium anyway, so what if they get struck outside? Let’s play football -- man football -- weather, Midwest. You sign [the waiver].”

Portnoy doubled down.
“Lightning, if it hits you, it’s just not your day,” Portnoy added.
Not surprisingly, Portnoy's so-called take drew immediate pushback.
“I think Dave should get struck by lightning first before he starts talking…” said Big Noon Kickoff panelist and former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, before host Rob Stone cut him off.
Stone's gentle interference didn't stop Quinn, who added, "Step outside into the thunderstorm, Dave, before you start ranting about this stuff."
Awk.
