Colin Kaepernick’s Married Now: New Wife Nessa Diab Lashes Out

Former NFL star and Quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick is married now, according to his wife Nessa Diab.

The pair started dating in at least 2016, when they made it official.

But Diab, who hosts radio show Nessa on Air a hip-hop show on New York City's Hot 97, wants everyone to know it's more serious now.

She seemed pretty mad about being mislabeled as Kaepernick's girlfriend or roommate in a post to her Instagram story on July 17, 2025 too.

"Do some research, adjust it," she said. "I'm not Colin's girlfriend, or roommate or whatever. I'm his wife."

She also ripped those who mislabeled the pair's relationship.

"I know research and getting information is a rare thing nowadays, but let's restore some integrity," she added.

The post, now gone off Diab's story, was saved and published on The Jasmine Brand's Instagram.

Kaepernick, 37, and Diab, 44, also had a daughter back in August 2022, so clearly the relationship is pretty serious.

Kaepernick gained worldwide fame in 2016 for his protest during an NFL game to bring attention to police brutality and racial inequality in the United States by kneeling during the national anthem.

But Diab has also gained quite a bit of fame on her own, gaining more than half a million followers on Instagram as well as pushing her radio show across the nation to more than 15 media markets.

Diab also hosted the former NBCUniversal TV show Talk Stoop back in 2018.

She's also had quite the career as an activist herself.

Diab annually hosts a party for underprivileged high school girls in New York City centered around prom and female empowerment. She also mentors students around the city and created a scholarship program in 2018.

Kaepernick and Diab also collaborated in 2020 to found the Know Your Rights Camp, a traveling empowerment initiative for underprivileged youth.

And Diab herself in 2016 led Plan B One Step's Perfectly Imperfect campaign to encourage young women to take control of their reproductive health.
