Patriots Legend Had Telling Reaction to Bill Belichick Girlfriend Joke

North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick has had a rocky first few months of his tenure, and very little of that controversy has involved the team or its players. 

Belichick's relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson has been the main point of contention, and the situation reached its apex when Hudson interrupted an interview on the coach's behalf.

Some have expressed worry that the 73-year-old former Super Bowl champion is being taken advantage of, especially after a curious set of real estate purchases made by Hudson just as the couple made their public debut together.

She's become a part of Belichick's life and public persona, appearing with him at events and even in commercials during the Super Bowl.

During a recent YouTube video, one of Belichick's former stars with the New England Patriots was asked about his former coach's relationship, and he gave a telling answer.

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski appeared on Caleb Pressley's "Sundae Conversations," and the topic turned to Belichick and Hudson. After Pressley mentioned "Bill picking up a 24-year-old girl," everyone in the room began to laugh.

Fans were happy to see Gronkowski on the show, as they felt he was a natural fit to riff along with Pressley's brand of humor. The show usually involves Pressley and his co-host asking increasingly ridiculous questions while the subject tries to remain in a normal situation.

This usually isn't the case, and the show often devolves into laughter from both sides. Other stars to appear on the show include Luka Doncic, Morgan Wallen, Theo Von and Cody Rhodes. Pressley grabs stars from the world of music, film, sports and comedy, and the results are almost always awkward, yet hilarious.

Hudson's involvement with the North Carolina football program appears to be no laughing matter, however. Reports have alleged that Hudson is not allowed to be inside the team's facilities, and Belichick made it clear that her role in his life does not extend to football.

As Belichick's personal and professional lives continue to mix, we'll see if he can compartmentalize and focus on football when he takes over at North Carolina in the fall.
