A family in Indonesia made a gruesome discovery after a 55-year-old grandmother went missing.
According to The Sun, a 23-foot python killed and then attempted to eat the head of the young grandmother. The grandmother was reportedly picking vegetables in her garden and wasn't afraid of snakes, which run rampant in that part of the world. Her family said she wasn't scared because she's dealt with snakes since she was a girl.
But things took a tragic turn after she went missing. And after her family went looking for her in the jungle they discovered the grandmother's body wrapped around the snake and her head inside the mouth of the massive python, prompting a worried son to run away screaming after stumbling on the horrific encounter.

Neighbors who were also out looking for her used their torches and machetes to cut the snake's head and pull out the grandmother, whose head was covered in thick slime. The rescue, unfortunately, came too late, as the grandmother was already dead.
The family said they knew something was amiss when they went looking for her and only found her basket.
"I was always worried about her working on the farm. I have seen big snakes before," said the 55-year-old's son, Saimin. "She had worked on the farm since she was a little girl, so she was not afraid. She would always have her basket with her, so I knew something was wrong."
This horrific scene is eerily reminiscent to when another missing woman in her 50s went missing last year, only to be found inside a massive python's belly after she was eaten alive.
