Pop sensation Taylor Swift had not posted on her Instagram account in any capacity for 100 days, but she broke her silence over the weekend to congratulate one of her friends.
Last week, actress and singer Selena Gomez released her new album “I Said I Love You First,” which is a musical collaboration with her fiancé Benny Blanco.
The 14-song album was released on March 21, 2025, through SMG Music LLC, Friends Keep Secrets, and Interscope Records. It obviously features both Gomez and Blanco as well as guest appearances from Gracie Abrams, Tainy, and J Balvin and contributions from MarÃa Zardoya of The Marias and GloRilla.
The release marks Gomez’s first major musical release since her 2020 album “Rare,” and it was a big enough occasion for Taylor Swift to break her 100 days of social media silence to offer her friend Selena some praise.
In a post on her Instagram story over the weekend, Taylor praised both Gomez and Blanco as she shared her support for the album.
"[Selena Gomez] & [Benny Blanco] I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD,” Swift wrote on Instagram Stories, sharing a link to the album, according to Variety.
Taylor has been largely out of the public eye since the end of her Eras Tour and following the conclusion of the NFL season where she watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs fall in a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
Swift has made appearances at various awards shows throughout the awards season, but she has kept a low profile and has not made any public announcements of any kind, as evidenced by her social media silence.
It's not clear whether or not this will mark a larger return to social media for Taylor or if it was simply a one-off post in support of her friend.
